Message to staff to adjust communication tone
Overall stay was great with exception of the last 20 minutes. As an executive of a large company I travel quite a bit both domestically and internationally and seen a lot. My stay was completely soured by the hotel front desk manager that got super aggressive with me when I did not leave my room at the 11am checkout time. I took a Microsoft Teams work meeting from my room that was suppose to end at 11am. I thought no big deal. The meeting went over 15 minutes and that’s when things went array. I got a loud door knock, loud voice yelling through the door before I could even open the door. When I answered
the door their were 2 ladies standing their informing me check out was at 11. I told them I understood and I would grab my bags. This is when I was spoken to like child. Her comment was we’re going to stand right out your door until you leave. I felt terrible for staying the extra 15 minutes but knew I did not deserve this type treatment. It’s now 12 hours later and thinking that the normal clients must require this aggressive behavior to get results. I stayed here as I had meetings in the laveen area and there is not a lot of hotels to choose from. I travel to Phoenix 4 - 5 times a year and was tired of downtown scene and traffic. Probably won’t return to this hotel as I don’t like being treated in this manner. My hope is that this message will get to management and then discussed with the staff. Please just tone down the check process and don’t get personable
