Slightly outdated
Our stay started off amazing with the front desk lady getting us an amazing room with bunk beds for the kids. Actually, all the employees we encountered were extremely very friendly and accommodating.
The issues we had were with the rooms itself. We were there when temps dropped to the single digits and the heaters did not work. It actually blew cold air in. Tech guy came but mentioned the whole building did not get heat. Understandably it never snows in FL so we did our best to just stay warm.
We ended up switching rooms as our flights got cancelled and wanted to try to get in a different room with heating. Heater worked for 5 minutes then blew cold air again
Here are some of the issues we had with each room
1st room
- no heat (this was when it was snowing out)
- shower door would not latch and remained opened during showers. Floors would get soaked, kids slipped.
2nd room
- no heat
- toilet flusher had an issue and wouldn’t stop flushing. Everytime my kids or wife had to use the restroom, I had to go in there and lift the lid off the tank of the toilet and try to get it to stop flushing. After a few dozen times, it gets extremely irritating
- shower drains extremely slow
- sink drains extremely slow and fills up. Sucks to be the last person brushing teeth.
Overall, the people working here were great! The hotel rooms definitely needs some maintenance and remodel as most of the work done to repair items such as toilet, shower doors, etc appear to be done by amateurs
