Home Away From Home

One of the best vacations we had in years! Our unit had everything we possibly needed: comfortable bed, crib for the baby, towels, toiletries, kitchen supplies, spices, bbq utensils, and even washer/dryer! It’s right next to the pool and a few minutes away from the beach. Our kids had a blast. Special thanks to the kindest and friendliest staff. From the first phone call till the last minutes of our stay the beautiful lady at the front desk (so sorry, I’m bad with names, Katlin?) made our vacation special, easy, and made us feel welcome. Thank you so much!!!

Over all like it

The location was great. The view of the ocean was beautiful. Watching the sun rise and set was absolutely gorgeous from the balcony or deck. The rooms are very dated. There was no air conditioning but with the doors open it’s stayed cool. The pool area is very nice and the pool is kept in excellent condition.

Pretty Place

The grounds at this property are really beautiful. We enjoyed the pool as well as walks on the pathway along the coast. The location was great for going to Lihue as well as towards Kapaa and beyond.

I liked that it was quiet except for the chickens and the garbsge tryckd. It was very peaceful. A close walk along a paved trail right to the beach with salt pools. Easy swimming and snorkeling. Water was super clear.

Please clean

Location good. Ocean view good. Unit needs a good solid cleaning and organizing. Lots of dust here and there. Storage areas are messy and not organized. Kitchen cupboards are unorganized. A few of the closet doors were not on their runners so wouldn’t close properly. It was nice to have some beach supplies, however the chairs are in poor condition. We found a partial water bottle under the bed in primary (not ours).Under the bed was very dirty. The TV is not user friendly although we did figure it out after a week.

property is old and pretty worn out. noisy as windows open because no AC. Only some fans and lights work. Laundry is not in unit and they dont sell soap. would not stay here again

This was our living room and master bedroom view off the balcony at sunrise.

There was a little path like one minute from my condo that opens up into the sandy Beach and ocean.

I have multiple complaints, starting with the price, I paid a lot including the flight, but we also had to pay extra at th front desk for the cleaning fee, which is crazy expensive! The resort had no cleaning at all and we had to spend 10 days in a room that did not get cleaned and there was no washing or drying machine. Second of all we got a room which 5 people were supposed to fit into and there were only 3 beds and a couch which is IMPOSSIBLE to sleep on, slept on it for 1 night and woke up with HUGE back pains addition to the uncomfortable couch, 3 days before we were supposed to leave my daughter found a bed bug crawling on her while she was sitting on the couch, the 2 beds upstairs were small and uncomfortable as well, no bed bugs were found in the beds but since they were on the couch there is no doubt they are not of the bed. Third of all, everything was so rusted because of the humid/hot air, the windows didn’t close which means there was no privacy in the bathrooms, the walls started rotting! the shower door downstairs did not close at all from all the rotting and the bathtub was clogged, the door into the downstairs bedroom was about to fall off, the lights didn’t work is most of the rooms in the apartment. The cabinets in the kitchen all started rotting as well and the dishwasher STINKS, there was plates, pots, and cups but it was so dirty that I have to go buy new one because it was just gross eating out of them. what a dump CASTLE KAHA LANI

There were electrical shorts in the stove. Electrical shorts in the master bathroom, house was filthy, as you can see by the photos! Our “fully stocked kitchen did not so much as have a toaster let alone a spatula or baking pan.

The office help are blat-en liars, said they were totally booked. They weren't. When I asked about "park at your own risk" they said it was for the soccer field. Very unfriendly and unpleasant. If you are a farmer you will not mind the rosters waking you up at 2,4, and 6 in the morning. When you use the lanai the chickens come running. If you are in a lower unit, you will regret it because of the noise and footsteps.

I travel frequently and am a Gold member with Expedia. I always book flights, hotels, and rental cars through their website because I trust them. However, this time I am very disappointed with the conditions my family and I experienced during our stay. The hotel was nothing like what was advertised on their website. It was dirty, old, in poor condition, lacked facilities, and was not convenient in any way. Additionally, the front desk staff were unwelcoming and unfriendly towards us. This was supposed to be a vacation for my family and me, and we are extremely disappointed.

Charged us a hefty "cleaning fee" yet we had no in-room service, walls/doors had dirty smudges, and we were required to take out our own trash and wash all our dishes by hand because the dishwasher top tray was stuck shut and already full of dishes. Overall: worn, tired, and neglected. No dishclothes, sponges, or decent potholders. Dirty mugs on shelf. Burned out bulb over kitchen sink, towels so worn there were holes and frayed edges. Despite a shelf of DVDs, there were no instructions for the player (it didn't even appear to be hooked up). A bathroom door wouldn't latch without brute force and loud bang. Given no A/C or de-humidifiers, we had to keep all windows open despite frequent sewer odors from a nearby treatment plant. Many of the vented windows and shades were worn to the point of not opening/closing properly. Needs work!

It’s was wonderful being so close to the ocean however the property was old and it showed. The price point was good which is why it was the way it was.

Very surprised that coffee wasn’t supplied Would have thought at this price point that there would be some coffee supplied for each day stayed there. Thank God we had a rental car and McDonald’s wasn’t far away

Property well decorated and accommodating with all essentials. Just be aware there’s no A/C and during heat of day it’s quite warm. This property is on the ground floor so limited air flow at certain times of the day.
