The room was dirty upon arrival, crumbs and hair in beds, hair in tub, and toilet dirty. The whole room was dusty. I went to front desk to provide this information and ask for a new room. The front desk staff informed they had no other rooms that could accommodate our party/room type. They offered to do a deep clean of the room, which meant we had to leave the property for them to do so. Not having another place to stay in the area, we had no choice but to agree to this. The ONLY saving grace at this hotel was Anna at the front desk who did the clean herself with the help of an assistant. She wrote an I’m sorry card and provided a small tin of cookies. The fact that these items exist should be enough to know they have had problems in the past.
I requested a call from the manager, and two days post stay there has been no call, no apology, nothing. I called again today to speak to the manager and again got a response from front desk staff of “we can write a note to her to call-acknowledging that there is already a note for her.
Very disappointed in this hotel. For being a Doubletree by Hilton, I expected for this hotel to meet the quality standards we are all used to. They failed to even meet minimal expectations. Do not book this hotel.
