6/10
I had a mixed experience with EV charging, which is what prompted me to write this review. However, in the interest of fairness, I am also including all the other aspects of my stay.
Location: Excellent! Just a few minutes walk from the core of the Los Gatos business district, which is very cute and filled with restaurants and shops.
Hotel grounds: A lovely garden courtyard that is clean and well maintained.
Room interior: Clean and spacious. It was equipped with a mini fridge, microwave, and even proper plates and silverware. The shower was not enclosed and did not have a curtain, so it had a tendency to get water in the rest of the in the long, skinny bathroom despite best efforts to avoid it.
Hotel breakfast: Prepackaged muffins and similar.
EV charging: Unfortunately access to the chargers was intermittent. There are 3 chargers (one non-Tesla, 2 Tesla), which is excellent for a building of less than 30 rooms. Charging is free, which was a nice unexpected perk.
Day 1: I arrived after the office closed at 10 PM. The EV chargers are installed in locked cabinets, so I was not able to access them on my first night.
Day 2: The code provided by the front desk did not unlock the charger. The front desk used a key to unlock it.
Day 3: At 9:30 PM, I learned that the hotel does not allow overnight charging; a non-guest might unplug my car and charge their car at cost to the hotel. This struck me as a bad reason. I was not able to charge before departure.
