I have always stayed at Courtyard when I visit Council Bluffs, maybe a few times a mth. I usually go through a 3rd party (hotels.com). This time I went directly through the Marriott site. I was told because I was paying with my affirm I couldn’t go through the Marriott site I had to cancel that reservation an make another one through hotels.com, which I did even tho it was an inconvenience. Her Customer Service was nonexistent. Kenny (the guy in the wheelchair) was very nice an helpful, he was also a lil confused as to why I had to cancel the reservation through Marriott. It ended up being the exact same thing to do when I booked through a 3rd. I’m just really upset that I had to go through that because I wanted my points through Marriott. Ended up getting in my room an it was dirty, hair an dirt on the bathroom floor. The sprinkler head was out the ceiling with tissue stuck in it, an the handle was off the drawer. Kenny made it right tho, he gave us another room right down from the previous room asked me if I needed anything, very apologetic. Didn’t get anything from the devil (oops I mean manager) mariah. First time I have had this problem with them. They have always been very clean an the front desk has always been phenomenal. Don’t know what happened this time but I did call corporate.
