Convenient location. Everything clean, comfortable and decorated nicely.

Great place to stay

The inn was right off the highway and easy to find. You’ll want to park in the back of the property and the steps to enter are within feet of parking. The owner sent me a text with the door codes and explained how to find my key. I was in room 14 that had a double bed. It was for one night and I travel 100% for work so I’m always in hotels this stop was pleasant and relaxing. Room was clean and bathroom was as well. After I long work day and hours of driving I took a shower, ate, and crawled into bed.

Enjoyed our stay at this quaint property. Our room was adorable and we had the private bathroom which was great. Would definitely stay again when visiting Cumberland. Very easy process, room was clean and it was quiet. We had a lovely stay. Thank you!

Cozy!

Great little place! Close to town and cozy environment. Very convenient if you are riding the train to Frostburg.

Very comfortable room in a great location. Check in was as easy as could be. If you're riding the GAP Trail they have wonderful storage facility for bikes as well. Very beautiful building. And you can't beat the price. I can't recommend them highly enough.

Liked the history of the building. Could have used more guidance about attractions and dining. Room could use a reading lamp.

Service was great Bathroom not in the room itself

This was a historic Country Inn meeting modern Air B&B type of experience. Quite nice. All remote transactions were prompt and timely. If you like the antique charm and ambience of B&B, go for it.

It was raining and the ceiling was leaking badly. It was the same in the other empty room.

Charming building and room but back of property included derelict buildings. Lack of on site staff added to sense that it wasn’t too safe. But I am older senior woman traveling akone

rooms were clean bathroom was very nice. I was in rm 3 and my friend was in rm 8. Her comments about rm 8 Hot, a bit claustrophobic, nails sticking up in the floor, no clock. I was perfectly happy with rm 3.

8/10 Very good

No real issues. My only quibbles are that the shower ws a bit small, I'm a big guy with wide shoulders, so your mileage on this may vary. Also, my room was on the first floor facing the street, so any conversations on the street passed right through the walls/window,

8/10 Very good

It is a charming old building in the historic district. The amenities are basic. Be prepared for a lot of stairs, from parking lot to first floor and on to upper floors. We had the 3rd floor garret room. The room needed more lighting. There was no refrigerator or microwave in the lounge or the room. Nonetheless, we enjoyed a simple room in a charming old house in a charming part of town.
Patricia, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Manager was only available via phone/text. Room faced busy street and was at street level. The noise of the cars and people walking by was awful. My bed’s casters would not lock, so just sitting against the headboard caused it to roll away from the wall. Annoying. However, the location in town was good—easy on/off highway—and plenty of free parking.

I’m not sure where to begin with this review. I was expecting an older inn in a small town with lots of character. What we got was anything but, and we were extremely disappointed. The description of the inn is so misleading. Nowhere does it say that the bathrooms are separate from the actual rooms. I’ve stayed at bed and breakfast inns before and this is always clearly stated. This was not marketed as a b&b or anything similar, so after a long car ride to Cumberland, it was completely unexpected. It is marketed as an inn and spa, however no information was ever given about where the spa is located, how to get any of the services, and if it was even available. There was no free water in the rooms as stated. And thank goodness we are able to navigate stairs. No one with a disability or a hard time with stairs could stay here with the several flights you might have to take. The thermostat in the inn was set at 66 degrees and was absolutely freezing. The thermostat is located outside the rooms, so I guess affects all the guest rooms. I actually turned it up once because I was so cold, but it ended back at 66. This made it even more uncomfortable to have to walk down the hall to where the restroom was. The plumbing was terrible and we were always afraid to use the toilet. No water pressure and shower was lukewarm. No hand towels were provided, the hand soap container was empty, and there were no tissues. All of these things together truly led to a very unpleasant experience.

Heat was out so they provided a space heater. But it tripped the outlet. No hair conditioner or Kleenex. Noisy street traffic. WiFi didn’t work.

Historic site, charming with quirks

Fun place to stay. Beautiful historic building, which has its charms, but it also has very thin walls. At midnight, we got to hear all about the neighbor’s evening, including tales from their bathroom experience.
