Extremely Disappointing Stay – No Sleep, No Suppor
We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites by Marriott in Flagstaff, AZ, and had one of the worst hotel experiences we’ve ever had. Check-in took over 45 minutes, which was frustrating after a long day of travel. To make matters worse, the hotel is difficult to find—our GPS took us nearly a mile in the wrong direction.
We didn’t get into our room until nearly midnight, only to be woken just after 1:00 a.m. by the air conditioning unit making loud, jarring banging noises. It went on for quite a while, and we ended up getting barely three hours of sleep. When I brought this up to the staff in the morning, they were dismissive and completely uninterested in helping. I even had video proof of the noise, and they refused to look at it.
No one from management has reached out to address the issue or offer any kind of apology or resolution. For a brand like Marriott, this kind of service is completely unacceptable. A hotel’s basic purpose is to provide guests with a good night’s sleep, and this hotel failed miserably at that. It was a waste of money and a deeply frustrating experience. I would not recommend staying here.
