Wouldn't recommend if anything doesn't go smoothly
We had a party of 4. I looked for rooms with double beds beds in the area. All only had 1 bed availability. Mt Shasta had a double bed room available for only a little extra money, but it was also an extra 40 mi drive. If we got just 1 bed we'd need to air up an air mattress for the other pair. We agreed that was better than the drive.
When we arrived at around 10pm, a nice gentleman was at the desk. He couldn't find my reservation, & called the manager. Though the room the system had for availability was already given, he put us in another. I was just glad he still had a room!
We got to the room, opened it, & it had another room with another bed in it as well. Seemed like a nice surprise. Until the next morning. My husband left the door open to go grab something from the vehicle, & who we later figured out was the manager Luann popped in. The first thing she said was, "You unlocked that other door! That door was locked! Did you unlock it?" I told her no, it was open wide when we came in last night. Luann gruffly, meanly said, "Then you need to make it right & pay the difference for the 2nd room!" It was a huge $. I told her I feel like that was asking to pay for their mistake. "You have 4, you should have booked 4!" I explained to her that if a room says it only sleeps 2, you can only book 2, yet she wasn't listening. She kept insisting that I should pay the difference. If she was nicer in her approach, I may have been inclined to pay a little, yet she was really mean.
