Management should do better
There was a unfortunate water main breakage which happens. They sent out communications that water will be cut off around 10:00 p.m. that evening I arrived to my room roughly around 9:30 so that's fine. I saw the page. I didn't panic or anything because I knew I had plenty of time to use the bathroom and take a shower. Unfortunately, as soon as I finish using the bathroom I went to flush the toilet and the water was able to flush because there was some in the tank. However, when I went to go wash my hands there was no water very unfortunately. Luckily for me I had hand sanitizer and some of my drinking water available that I was able to mix in a bowl with soap to help clean myself up. It was very inconvenient and also it shortened my drinking water supply. Understand things happen especially with maintenance so I ain't want to talk to the front desk and they were sorry for my inconvenience. So far so good. The next day when I was checking out I went to talk to the manager so I can have a partial refund for the night or at least some kind of significant gesture of the major inconvenience and I received the equivalent according to their words of an eighth of a stay in points. Not even the night or a day or even a personal apology as the general manager was communicating to me through the front desk associate although they were just literally a room apart. Not the kind of management style that I like to see as someone who's been an executive in IT for a long time.
