ADA accessibility, dirty socks, electrical
I arrived in town in the morning, stopping in to communicate with front desk I was here, but wouldn't be able to return until night, due to scheduled meetings. Upon checking in and entering the room that night, I was confused about being provided an ADA/disability accessible room. I did not request nor require one, and feel those rooms should be saved for those who need one. After showering and trying to relax after a very long day, I stepped on something.... Although the carpet coloring is a very dark pattern, I discovered I had stepped on someone else's dirty black socks. They were about 10 inches away from each other, but this indicated (to me) the room had not been vacuumed completely after the previous guest/s. (Staff came and removed dirty socks.) The next morning I found the restroom electrical outlet was inoperable. It is a GFCI outlet, as it should be, but even after attempting to test and reset three times, it still did not work. I ended up having to plug in my heated hair appliance in nearest outlet and it rest on the carpeted floor. I informed staff at early morning checkout, but they seemed uninterested. My room total was to be $174. At check-in they said $200 and that upon checking out, the extra would be adjusted off. Not adjusted yet.(Side note if hotel sees this: I'm unsure of specifications, but if someone genuinely needs this accessible room, the detachable shower head is installed way too high to reach for anyone who may have lowered-height limitations. )
