Great hotel. Just a few reminders.

Check in was quick and easy. Friendly staff. Only 3 towles in the room so ask for more when going to your room if you need more. Took forever for the shower to get hot but it was great once it got there. Only plugs on 1 side of each bed. Shower curtain was too short to cover the whole tub. Had a welcome with pur name on the tv when it was turned on and well wishes on the tv on check out day.

I booked 2 rooms for an overnight stay to attend VSU's Open House. The staff at check in and check out were great~~no issues there. The first room was ok, it just smelled like someone vacuumed dirty carpet with deodorizer, however the 2nd room had a dirty bathroom. There was some "purple liquid" on the bathroom sink, along with hair in the sink. Also, there was trash on the floor. We arrived at 11 p.m. and we were checking out at 9 a.m. so it was sufficient for the night, After driving 4 hours we were tired and ready to rest so we didnt bother to complain, but if we ever come back, we'll definitely stay somewhere else.

Old Facility and Not Clean

I had picked this hotel as I have always had a good experience with Marriott facilities. This hotel was old and felt not clean. The first room they gave us the bathtub was flaking off and we could only use the shower. They changed rooms for us and the 2nd room at least the bathtub we could use as a bathtub. When we woke the next morning and went to start packing our stuff apparently there was a thunderstorm during the night and the windows leaked and a large portion of the carpet was wet (which a bag of books and some clothes) were all wet. I had booked this hotel for our return trip from Florida which I canceled. They had also charged my credit card for the return trip which was a week away. I am now waiting to see if they are issuing me a credit. We ended up staying at Drury which was amazing and less expensive. Won't be staying at a Marriott again.

2/10 Poor

Night of the hurricane, lights went out. No communication between staff and party. No utilities or flashlights on the floors. No security...This hotel didn't advise me of any safety precautions in the event of communication or security. I couldn't leave my dark room, because everything was dark and I couldn't call frontdesk for help. A man was walking the hallway of my door crying and even tried to open my door. I was terrified. I paid $434 for 2 rooms as I thought along with other guests that this supposedly high-end hotel had a generator or some to assist its guests. This hotel didn't prepare for the storm at all. I can't believe that I was treated like this at the Marriott. I will never stay at other Marriott hotel in my life. The elevator didn't work of course. We had to go up and down the many stairs with loads of luggage without any help. I was extremely exhausted, as I had to make multiple trips to my car. I want my money back, as the hotel should've closed due to not being able to provide services to the guests. On top of all of these tragedy occurrence, they had no coffee or anything else to serve their guests. No a/c or fans provided. I'm extremely disappointed in the Courtyard of Marriott. I got videos but your website will not permit me to upload anything.

First, a shout out for Porta at the front desk, who was very helpful and remembered my name as I came and went. The mattress was comfortable, but the room had seen better days in terms of furniture and the bathroom. I was there for two days, but my room was not serviced. Moreover, the bistro which was advertised as being open until 10 pm had closed by 9:30 PM on Friday night when I was hoping to get something there.

This property was clean and comfortable. The pool was a godsend with the kids. Breakfast was included and was better than the continental you get most places - although you had to get a coupon for it from the desk as it isn't included in all reservations (so be sure to look/ask).

Called early to inform them of a late arrival. Was given a handicapped room. The sheets and towels were stained, and the ceilings were thin—I was awakened at 2 a.m. by children running above.

Horrible experience and stay

Upon check in kids were running aroind the lobby and down the halls on the floor I was staying on. What made things worse someone was playing loud music the night. My stay at this hotel was terrible and my next stay in Valdosta, I definitely will not be making any type of reservation at this property

The team was amazing!!! Lisa, Poltra and Sally went above and beyond to make my stay comfortable. They were so nice and welcoming! I also loved the café and the bartenders I interacted with. The room was comfortable and clean. I slept great! I will keep them in mind for my next visit.

When we first arrived, the hotel was under obvious construction. I did not see any info about this when I booked. That would have been useful as we would have looked elsewhere. When checking in, our original two rooms were not available. They said that they overbooked. Not sure why this is a thing. Only sell rooms you have. We ended up with one room with balcony and one without. Because of the balcony door not locking in one of the rooms, we ended up being moved to a non-balcony room on the same floor as our other booked room. We originally asked about getting a room on the same floor and were told there were not two on the same floor. But only a few minutes later, there were two available together. The hotel had a general dirtiness to it. The corridor carpets were visibly dirty. The elevator carpet was filthy. The following are things found in both of our rooms. Hair on two pillows. Dirty sofa bed linens. I had to go to front desk to get new ones. There was a broken balcony door lock on our first room. They were able to switch us to a new room, which didn't have a balcony. There were stains on the sofa. There was a cracked sink and broken shower stopper in one of the rooms. The front desk staff were helpful and apologetic. It just felt like there was a lack of care about cleanliness. I can live with the construction, but the dirtiness is a deal breaker. We stayed at a Courtyard in McDonough, GA and it was great! This Courtyard in Valdosta fell way below expectations.

Disappointment

The hotel was having some construction done which is fine but I was unaware when I booked. Half the parking lot was blocked off and the alternate entrance was a little confusing to find and as a single female traveler it was a little unsettling at night trying to find it. The floors seemed “sticky” and made me feel like they weren’t clean. There was hair in the bathroom and the shower didn’t drain well. There weren’t any little “extra” toiletries you would usually find such as little lotions and mouthwash etc. The pillows and bedding just weren’t comfortable. I thought paying a little extra and staying at a Marriott would’ve been much nicer and I was. Wet disappointed
