I noticed that there were some remnants of what I hope was tobacco spit on the floor in the bathroom on the wall across from the toilet. That was gross. I’m hoping that by next year the rooms are remodeled or updated. I heard some workers upstairs working on a room then and the service staff mentioned that as well. It didn’t bother me just was hope I’m hopeful for updating.

Upon checking in to our room, there was a very distinct smell of the air-conditioner burning. Staff came immediately and moved us to a different room. The breakfast was pretty much nonexistent. I guess if you like cereal and toast it’s OK. Nothing hot.

The place was nice but its old. Not modernized. It has potential to be better. The room use to be a smoking room. Still smelled like smoke because the carpet was still the same. It also had burn marks in it. Bed was comfortable. The place was convenient for the baseball fields. You would have that it was updated with the Wyndham name attached to it but dont let that fool you.

Streamlined for a bite and a night

A convenient, comfortable, quiet budget inn right off Interstate 57. Within easy walking distance (if you like) to fast-food and mainline restaurants and a general-store like gas station. (Walmart is just a quick drive away for anything else.) Nothing fancy, but serviceable. No real scenery, but for a bite and a night, the total package.

Family Visit

We had a suite, but there was only one chair in a huge room. The bed was very comfortable. The breakfast was poor. There were 4 kinds of boxed cereal, all sugar. There was bread and granola bars, and packaged food in the fridge to microwave for a “hot” breakfast.

We stayed here for soccer and was pleasantly surprised. It is close to the fields. If you have diet restrictions gluten, dairy…etc not a lot of options for breakfast (Continental Breakfast at hotel) but did have fresh oranges and always have a water dispenser out. If concerned about noise ask for second floor we could hear heavy feet above us at times but otherwise quiet. Lots of lamps, outlets for different lighting and charging options. Some reception issues with certain channels on TV. My travel companion complained about the bed, too hard, but I was fine. Comforter was a light sheet but can control window thermostat.
