The hotel was centeraly located and very comfortable. The breakfast was a highlight of our stay. The night attendant, Candi was very hospitible and nice. The hotel exceeded my expectations. I will stay here again.
This place surprised me on the quality of the room, overall place, convenience to Northstar. The price was also great. If I had stayed longer I would have used the Jacuzzi and the gym which both looked nice.
The only downside is that breakfast (hot prep) was just ok. Selection of cold breakfast items was small. I would go out and get your espresso and breakfast elsewhere.
The place is in a dire need of renovation. The carpets haven't been changed since the Tahoe Olympics. There was a part of ceiling falling off in the hallway and the hot tub was not working for the duration of our stay (main reason we opted for the place). That said, ALL the staff was AMAZING - super helpful, extremely polite, professional, and pleasant to be around. They are keeping everything as clean as possible but you can't vacuum a 50 yo carpet or a super noisy A/C from the Eisenhower era. The breakfast area is very clean, the breakfast is totally OK, and there is a variety of coffee machines. So this review is negative exclusively towards the owners of the hotel, and super positive about the people who work there.
