Great hotel with an amazing view!

This was in a great location, close to Bar Harbor. We loved the grounds with a view of the bay, and took advantage of the heated pool and Jacuzzi every night. And the restaurant was surprisingly very good. I would highly recommend this place.

The room and building that we were in were very clean and comfortable. We did not have an ocean front room but still had a view of the water from our window. The onsite restaurants were nice and offered great views. We enjoyed sitting on the chairs by the water enjoying the relaxing view. I noticed when I went to the room I would get congested and cough a lot. My asthma would come on. Then I became aware of pets in the hotel. I love pets but I'm very allergic to dogs and cats. When lying on the bed I had several coughing fits. So I looked into it and read they don't have designated rooms for the pets. I had couple nights I suffered my asthma symptoms

Check-in and check-out were easy. The complaints: Our “ocean view” wasn’t. The building Eden House smelled like fresh paint so beware if you’re sensitive. Housekeeping only happened in the first day of our stay. And surprise, apparently our bed was directly beneath the toilet above us. So I suggest getting a room on the top floor. The hotel charges $25/person “resort fee” despite claiming internet is free. The compliments: Our room was clean. the hotel is right on the 2 Eden free bus line which makes it easy to get around or have dinner in Bar Harbor. The hotel comes with heated outdoor pool and the grounds are lovely with tennis courts and cornhole. The bed is comfortable. Bathroom has plenty of towels and hot water. The hotel is close to Acadia entrance and Bar Harbor.

Very good all around. The one drawback was that my wife and I were given a room a considerable distance from the lobby, and there were no elevators.

Great get-a-way for my husband and I!

We loved our stay at Holiday Inn Resort Bar Harbor! We selected an ocean view, which was beautiful. The room was spacious, clean, and quiet. We loved the tiki bar and restaurants on site as well. The proximity to town and hiking in Acadia, with shuttle bus service available throughout our stay, was especially helpful. There was so much to do, we didn't really spend too much time in the room; however, after a long day exploring Bar Harbor's beauty, we knew we'd get a restful night before heading out again the next day. The only thing I would have requested is optional room service. You won't be disappointed opting to stay here though; I'll definititely book again!
