We booked a 2 night stay. When my husband and I checked in, the room they assigned was as far from the elevators as possible. We are both in our late 70s, so this was unacceptable. Plus the room was small and cramped, not up to Comfort Inn standard. Went to the front desk to complain, was told that there were no more rooms available. I said that was fine that we would go to the Ramada or Holiday Inn (both in the area). We were offered a better room (suite) for an additional $20 a day.
The next day, we went to the appointment that was the reason for our visit to the area. When we returned, the key to our room had been deactivated. Went to the front desk again to complain. Had the keys redone. I was told it happens.
There was never an offer of any kind of compensation or, even and apology.
We have always loved the Comfort Inn, but not sure we will ever stay in one again!
