Something must have been happening in the area that weekend. Maybe it was just inflation, which we all know is running at an excessive rate right now, but this motel was the least expensive one I could find anywhere near Hillsville and the rate was more than $100 -- way too much for such a shabby room. It had what I needed, and it would have been OK if it was cheap, but that property needs extensive renovation.

The desk clerk couldn’t speak English very well and asked me for $3 extra in cash and I could not understand why he was asking for it. Bathroom floor was sticky. Room smelled bad.

I chose this hotel for the location and because it has Wi-Fi I had to work from my laptop and that’s impossible you will not get Wi-Fi regardless of what they tell you

Toilet clogged, front desk unclogged and left water all over floor which I had to use all but one towel to clean up. Unfriendly staff at check in. Dead roaches in bathroom. Three days later security deposit hasn't been refunded which I disputed with my credit card company. Pictures were taken.

$262.00 for 2 nites is outragus! Hard to find staff. Difficult to understand staff. No shampoo. Dates stayed wrong 6 - 7 October 2021.

Arrived on site and owner was not at the desk for over two hours. I called several times and. I one answered. Finally called Expedia to get a different hotel and they got in touch with him. Owner says he was at the hospital with his wife but the note he left did not explain this well [language barrier]. He should have had someone else manning the desk even if it was the maid. Just anybody to either check me in or explain the situation.
