I came back to this hotel because the first time I stayed here, the service was good.
This time, however, it was a disaster. I had specifically requested a quiet room with a nice view when I made my reservation. Instead, I was given a room overlooking black rooftops and noisy air conditioning units—absolutely terrible.
From room 205, starting from the very first night, I could hear the noise from the plumbing…
On top of that, when I asked about the airport shuttle schedule, the answers I received were completely off-topic. The staff member who checked me in seemed totally clueless. In the end, I didn’t even stay for the last night I had paid for.
The Wedgewood Resort in Fairbanks is a much better option, even if it’s not as close to downtown. The small downtown area itself is charming, with several international restaurants to choose from.
