Room seems to be average, TV didn’t work, No bath towels but hand towels. Lucky to have got free parking

Damp smell across the entire building, poor carpet with tears, stains on towels and bed linen, had workers with chainsaws and heavy machinery for tree chopping working though until 4am. No hot water or heating on our 2nd night of stay so slept in clothes and left in the morning without a shower.

The rooms were large and clean, other than the container of drugs under one of the beds. The Wifi didn't work at all, and the controller for the TVs didn't work either. One of the TVs was stuck with Audio descriptions on, which actually ended up being quite funny. All in all it was much better than we expected it to be for the price. Although the windows are all old single glazing, the rooms were warm and dry. We had a walk to the Red Bar & Grill for food, since the restaurant part of the hotel (the main reason we booked) didn't serve food, and was just being used as a bar instead of as advertised. Not the worst hotel experience Ive had, by far, but also far from the best.
