Dumpy but spacious
Pros: Central location. It was a good home base for all that we wanted to see. A 2 hour drive in any direction was the most we had to travel. Cathy, at the front desk was very nice. Affordable and spacious room.
Cons: Old and a little scary, to be honest. Although a good, central location, it was right next to a liquor store with a lot of transient people passing through. In the 6 nights we were there, housekeeping never came by once. We had to ask for extra towels and toilet paper and if we didnt set our garbage by the door by a certain time, it would stay there until the next day. Crescent City should be named "Missed Opportunity." It could be SO MUCH more than it is. Not a lot in the way of shopping or decent, affordable food options, especially when traveling with kids.
