We asked for one thing. A room on the first floor. My wife has a bad knee. She needs a full knee replacement and we’re waiting for the surgery. On arrival the manager Bob said they had no 1st floor rooms available. Bob complained that people using Hotels.com are getting a discount but he’s not making as much money. He doesn’t want people using it. So the room we were given was upstairs ( no elevator) and as far from the stairs as possible. The room had an overwhelming smell of an Airwick freshener that gave me a headache. So strong you could taste it.
It happened to be raining. There was no tv remote so it was quiet. We could hear a dripping in the ceiling and could see a patch. Bob’s wife told us to put a bucket under it. I asked for a new room. Still said no 1st floor available. Second room had same smell. I looked late at night and at 5:00 am, there were at least 15 vacant rooms on the first floor.
Don’t book this place through Hotels.com. Bob and his wife will treat you like Shxt and smile in your face while doing so. They have a strong bias against anyone using this website to book with them. I will never go back to this place.
