Good place to stay, considering remodeling
There was a lot of remodeling of rooms being done but it was still amazingly quite. Very comfortable beds and pillows. Clean rooms. We arrived early (1:50) and was told if we checked in it would cost us an early check in fee. We could check in at 2:30 without this fee attached to our bill. We decided to sit in the lobby and read until 2:30. Bryon our desk clerk took it upon himself to call the manager and got the okay to check in early without the added fee. Bryon was a very happy, kind, courteous and helpful person. Wish all clerks could have his demeanor.

Real nice place very friendly people. The only downfall the room did not have any local TV channels, and you had to subscribe to one of the streaming services to get a show to come on the television.

The owners and staff are wonderful at this hotel. They have been renovating the hotel for a while, and are doing a great job. We have been to Storm Lake many times and i believe we have stayed everywhere. This is our favorite place because the owners and staff are so nice.
