No appreciation for the customer
After we went to bed, there was a strong smell of something burning. The rooms quickly filled with the burning smell. Maintenance quickly came up abd acknowledged the smell. He sprayed some room spray to mask the smell. The source of the smell was never discovered and it was assumed the smell was coming from someone cooking? The hotel manager (via phone) offered a one bed room and a sofa bed in exchange for the 2 bedroom that we had reserved. There were 3 of us and we are not young and not able to sleep on a sofa bed. The "manager" said that this offer was the best they could do. At 930pm, we took the refund and drive 6 hours home. I looked on the hotel site map and it showed 9+ available rooms that they were not willing to offer. This was honestly the worst customer service i think i have ever experienced. The front desk person and Maintenance man were both very nice and helpful. The manager who was not onsite was an easy no when it comes to customer satisfaction.
