Stayed here on short notice, due to road closures and conditions to the west from Hurricane Helene. When we arrived, they had no internet—but had power, unlike a lot of other parts of Hickory and the region. The man at the front desk, Don, was working super hard to accommodate people and get them checked into a room. Things were very chaotic due to the lack of internet, but he worked hard, had a positive attitude, and was apologetic for things that were beyond his control—such as mix-ups of being assigned a room that was already occupied (due to lack of available information to him about which rooms had/hadn’t been vacated from the previous night). It was in the process of getting renovated soon, so was an “older feel” to the rooms, but they were clean, safe, and functional. Very good value for the price, and the staff was great!
