Hanoi Royal Palace Hotel 2
10/10 Excellent
"Nous n'avons eu qu'une seule nuit à Hanoï, mais grâce à Jimmy, notre merveilleux hôte, nous avons pu voir bien plus que ce que nous avions prévu. Merci Jimmy pour votre service exceptionnel ! Nous recommandons vivement cet hôtel."
"Even before arrival the service was excellent (through emails). Staff were amazing from start to finish and the food/hotel were great. On available we met with Grace at reception who organised small refreshments after our travels. She advised the must sees while in Hanoi. The room was large and clean and the bed very comfortable. The shower was great, good power. Would definitely recommend this hotel based on the above. We loved it. Also had help from the in house travel agent Jenny with booking a cruise in ha long bay. She was great. It was our first time in Vietnam and within the short time of our arrival we already loved it and knew we’d be back. "
"Peridot is a gem in the Old Quarter of Hanoi. As you arrive into Hanoi, you’ll be greeted by the chaos (which you’ll quickly fall in love with), but Peridot is a quiet retreat from the noise. The entrance to the hotel is stunning and all of the staff greet you with a warm smile and welcome. Julie, in particular, was a wonderful first impression of the hotel. She couldn’t have been more helpful or kind, offering us a list of great places to visit. Not only did she help us in Hanoi, but once we left to Hoi An, she also offered a list of suggested places/things to do here. Another member of the team, Kylie, also got in touch before our arrival. She suggested a restaurant for dinner, Lan Ong, and it was one of the best meals we’ve had in Vietnam. Both Julie and Kylie are assets to the Peridot team.
Finally, the hotel room was beautiful. It has a giant tub, which after a hectic day of exploring, was a welcome treat. The beds were comfy and we slept like a baby. All in all, I couldn’t recommend the Peridot more strongly. Thanks for a great stay!"
"Excellent hotel, excellent facilities, excellent staff. This is my only 5 star review whilst in Vietnam. Very attentive and helpful staff. Nothing was a problem. Special mention to Will at the bar for interesting conversation, Katy for lovely smiles and great help, and Ahn for making me feel welcome. All the staff were friendly and helpful.
Highly recommended. Would come back here in a heartbeat.

"This brand-new hotel truly deserves a 7-star rating. The level of service far surpassed what we expected from a 5-star property. From the communication before arrival, to the welcome drinks and personally escorting us to our room, it was a different level of service. The room itself was spacious, immaculate with high-quality towels, robes, toiletries, and an exceptionally comfortable bed.
Breakfast each morning was wonderful, offering a wide variety of dishes that changed daily, along with a delicious à la carte menu. The warm, relaxing swimming pool was another highlight of our stay.
We met the manager, Thomas, on our first morning, and were amazed that he already knew our names. He greeted us warmly every time we saw him and frequently checked in to ensure everything was perfect. One moment that truly stood out was when we asked to lower the music volume at the pool—Thomas arrived immediately to adjust it himself.
On our final day, knowing we always had breakfast at 6:30 a.m., Thomas came specifically to say goodbye and thank us. He offered to personally drive us to the airport since he was heading home at the same time. His dedication explains why Hotel du Lac Signature Hanoi runs so seamlessly and maintains such an exceptional standard.
We will also miss the amazing staff—Emma, Mia, Kendra, Irene, Tracy, and many others whose names we couldn’t recall. Every one of them was consistently kind, attentive, and genuinely helpful.
