No trip to Sapporo would be complete without an afternoon at Odori Park, a popular park in Chuo-ku. Want to stretch your legs a little more? Head to Hokkaido University Botanic Garden, just a short walk away.
If you want to give your credit card some exercise, head out to Tanukikoji Shopping Street in Sapporo City Centre. Splash some more cash at Susukino Street, Nijo Market and Daimaru Sapporo.
If you like quiet time surrounded by flowers and greenery, hang out at Nakajima Park in Chuo-ku. It's also full of great shops and restaurants, so you can spend the afternoon having a wander. Want to stretch your legs a little more? Head to Odori Park and Maruyama Park, both nearby.
"Room with a view of the TV tower was excellent! The fact that there is no TV but instead a record player was a nice touch; I haven’t used a record player in ages! (You can borrow a record from the lobby area). We ended up connecting to the BT speaker in the room instead.
The bathroom was large! The room was also really large as well (compared to other hotels)!
We really enjoyed the canvas rooftop area and the fire pits. "
"All the Staff were so helpful and kind esp the young very tall guy (I forgot to get his name) who exceeded our expectations with extra effort and thoughtful attitude. "
"We are used to small rooms in Japan, but this was too small. We only took 1 piece of luggage and that was too much! Ok, so the room was small but everything else was superb. The room was spotless, as was the entire hotel. The staff is friendly, patient and helpful. The breakfast was amazing. Many “from Hokkaido” options that varied each day and it’s a buffet so you can eat as much as you with of this delicious food. Lastly, Susukino is somewhat of a red-light district, but it’s Japan, so we still felt very safe, just a bit sad."
"Great staff and willing to help someone that doesn’t know Japanese. Hotel room was always neat and stocked on things that were offered and used. It’s right by the Sapporo station and malls. Not too far from the famous Tanukikoji Shopping Street. They also have a 7-eleven across the street as well!! "
