If you are planning to stay here for 1 night its fine as its just next to the train station. The overall room and bathroom is on the smaller side. I've stayed in bigger rooms in Kyoto for less. If you want convenience then this is a good place.

Stayed for 2 nights. This was our most "budget hotel" on our holiday and it ended up being one of the best. Superb location, kyoto station is very impressive itself but also has shinkansen as well as local trains and subways, so options for exploring are endless. Hotel itself was perfecly nice, the comfiest bed we had on our 2 week trip which was a huge relief. Very nice breakfast, staff were friendly and helpful if we had questions. The room size was more than adequate and amenities available were great. Would happily recommend and stay here again if we return, the convenience is worth it.

The value for the price is awesome. The hotel was clean, walk across the street from the train station and you're there. Kyoto is quieter than I had pictured, but there are a ton of restaurant and drink options within a few steps of this hotel. The staff were friendly and efficient.
