My fiance and I checked in for a 3 day stay on 11/7/2025. We unfortunately had a family emergency and had to head back home after not even being there for an hour. After contacting them directly and Expedia (who we booked through) they have refused to give any sort of refund. This is extremely disheartening as the "No refund" policy leaves no room for empathy for unforeseeable circumstances. Emergency at home aside, I do not believe our stay there would of have been an enjoyable experience after seeing our room. The ceiling in the lobby and the bathroom of our room had terrible water damage and was visibly bubbling. The walls along the entire hotel were filthy. The room smelled of cat urine. There were dead gnats everywhere. Dirt, grime, and smudges on every surface. The blankets and pillow cases were stained. The pictures shown online are filtered or modified to make the rooms look brighter and cleaner then actually shown. I cannot discourage booking this hotel enough. If you decide to book this hotel, hope and pray nothing happens and you have to leave early because there will be no sort of refund. 0/10.

We showed up at roughly 10pm on Thursday night for our reservation. And they said they did NOT have a room available for us, that they never had an reservations from Expedia for me. Then they tried to rent me one room, and smaller & cheaper room than what I had reserved, at a price higher than what I was supposed to be paying for the rooms I did reserve. Never again.

This was by far the worst experience I have had with a hotel. I drove five hours showed up to the hotel had to use a phone at three o’ clock in the afternoon to get a manager to come to the desk. Mt friend and I waited for a bit and when he showed up he stated “ no room for you”. He would not look at my Expedia reservation number and claimed Expedia either did not pay them/ provide what the hotel needed to save a room for us. He was rude and aggressive and told us to “ go”. I can’t speak for the rooms because I did not actually get to get past the lobby. STAY AWAY unless you want to be stranded in a place with very few lodging options.

Not what we hoped for

Well, we checked out about 7:15. There was no food options yet. The owner woke up as we were leaving. Our food from McDonald’s was fine. Very disappointed.

The options in Streator are very limited. In my opinion, this motel is the best option. That said the motel is a bit tired and in need of some TLC. The corridors aren't air conditioned. There is not elevator. Cleanliness definitely needs attention. There were roaches in both of our rooms. The breakfast really isn't edible. If a better option were available I would take it, there just isn't.

The desk clerk spent (literally) the first five minutes trying to find the reservation even after I showed him the reservation number and receipt; offered to take my credit card and just rebook the room (big NO NO in my book); finally he found it and was pleasant. Everything about the interior and our room was clean and tidy. The grounds do not give a good impression—weeds prevalent and a bit of trash. Breakfast was hot and tasty. However, there was no hot water or hot milk for the instant oatmeal and only styrofoam bowls. When the attendant asked about our eval on the breakfast, we explained the problem and he brought out 2 glass bowls. Solved the issue for us, but not for anyone else 🙁 Overall, because of the condition of the interior and the willingness to get issues solved, the ranking is slightly above average.

If I could give negative stars I most definitely would. Hands down the dirtiest place I've stayed! If I could have received a refund and gone somewhere else I would have. It was only for a night so we stayed regrettably. We were up very early to leave as soon as possible. Staff was horrible. Argued over everything during check-in. I had to pull up my reservation multiple times. Everything was in horrible condition. Plus the smell of the place! I highly doubt they have regular housekeeping.
