Overall I am extremely disappointed. I booked the Ritz because I have heard amazing things about the properties. This was my first ever time staying in a Ritz and maybe it’s my bad for having such high expectations. The building is dated, my room wasn’t clean (found multiple hairs and the snacks and drinks were so dusty, the cups were all dusty). The patio furniture looked like it was bought as Walmart. There were big and visible weeds on the pool deck. I had to pay $250 for my dog, the most by far I have ever spent by far for my dog. I pay way less at other hotels and they give me a dog bed or a cute little dog goodie bag. The only highlight was the restaurant, Burlock coast. The staff all knew my name and called me by my name, they brought my dog a water bowl without me having to ask. I know I’m it a high priority client and in the grand scheme of ritz Carlton didn’t spend a lot but for me it was a lot of money. I didn’t even end up staying long the day I checked out, I left earlier than I had planned. I was so excited to treat myself with this staycation - I had won an award at work and this was my own little reward. It’s drinks that it was so underwhelming and wished I had booked somewhere else.
