At the Khao Lak-Bang Niang Fresh Market, otherwise known as the Khuk Khak Market, you can peruse stands of fresh produce that’s usually only found in the south of Thailand. As it’s mostly visited by locals, this market is an ideal place to get a glimpse into daily life. You can also order treats from the market’s street food stalls.

After you’ve filled up on barbecued meat and seafood treats, we recommend trying a banana pancake and washing it down with a fresh sugarcane drink. For even more culinary adventures, you’ll find tastier and just-as-affordable dishes just up the road at the Roumjai Market Khaolak, which opens every day.
