"Pleasant staff"
Arlo Midtown
"I spent a lot of time reading reviews searching for a great hotel in Times Square, so I'm happy to write one on behalf of Arlo. The stay was excellent, the hotel has a great vibe. Excellent location, easily walkable to both MSG/Penn Station and Times Square. The food was excellent at the restaurant and the cafe. Rooftop deck was awesome! The staff was super helpful and friendly. It seems silly to recommend a hotel over great elevators but this was a perk for us after previously having stayed up the street at a big name hotel and having to wait for up to 10 PACKED elevators before being able to get on. There are 5 elevators and we never waited for more than a minute. I will definitely stay there again."
Empire Hotel
"a wonderful stay at this hotel! Everything was spotless, and the location is absolutely amazing. The beds are super comfortable I slept like a baby every night. The bathroom is a bit on the smaller side, but that’s just a tiny detail because the shower is incredible! Powerful and relaxing, exactly what you need after a long day of exploring. Highly recommended, and I would definitely stay here again!"
NEW YORKER BY LOTTE HOTELS
"Amazing staff!! Stayed for 3 nights for the harry concert and had the BEST view!!"
New York Marriott Marquis
"Great hotel, right in Times Square. Rooms were nice, food lovely. Revolving Restaurant Bar was really nice with amazing views 👌"
OYO Times Square
"We were only in the room to drop bags and then later to sleep. The location is what sold us on the hotel. We enjoyed a nice dinner with dessert at Serendipity!!!"

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in New York
- Book for the cheapest times: The most budget-friendly period to visit New York is from January to March, when hotel prices are notably lower. For a great value for money experience, it is advisable to stay for at least 3 to 4 days to fully immerse yourself in the city's rich landmarks, historical sites, and cultural offerings. During your visit, you can enjoy the vibrant theatre scene, iconic skyscrapers, impressive museums, captivating art galleries, and stunning urban scenery, all while interacting with the city's friendly locals. This timeframe not only allows for a thorough exploration of New York's cultural tapestry but also ensures that your trip remains affordable.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: For New York hotel deals, you may discover attractive offers by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window section on Hotels.com. If your travel plans are flexible, check the Last-Minute Deals area where you could find discounted rooms close to your departure date. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool available on the app lets you compare hotel prices and amenities, so you’re more likely to see competitive offers on your favourite hotels. Enable email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions for the best New York hotel deals.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a more affordable option for your stay in a New York hotel. For those seeking something distinctive, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more attractive rate.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre generally tend to be more expensive, but thanks to New York's superb public transport system, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel located further out that remains well-connected. For those keen to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
