Solid hotel with great views of the river. Old school fit out so not for those young and trendy travellers looking for modern accomodation. Food was good albeit pricey, spent AUD$500 on dinner for two including drinks.

Nice but not amazing
The hotel and pool area were a bit tired and did not feel like the luxury that the brochures promised. In contrast, the reception area was beautiful and the evening pianist and singers et cetera were very good. The rooms need a good makeover. The location is very good for accessing the river boats and the skytrain.

Spacious and clean room
Staying in the Krungthep river view king size bed room. The room is very spacious and clean, I was worried after reading some reviews that it would be tired, but, far from it, everything was clean and working. Being Bangkok, the balcony was noisy from road and river traffic but if you want to get a bit quieter walk to the main pool rather than the one in front of wing. The staff were all smiles and very pleasant.
