The staff really shine at the Beaufort Hotel. They were welcoming and accommodating. The hotel itself has a charming pub and nice restaurant if you want a convenient meal. We used the hotel as quick one night stay overs on our trip to Skye. The hotel has also made nice upgrades to some rooms recently as well. The Beaufort is a nice solid stay.

I had a great stay at Beaufort Hotel. The staff were exceptionally friendly, the food in the restaurant was great, and the bed and bedding was so comfortable I checked the make of the mattress! There is lots of free parking, and it's a 5 minute walk into town. Highly recommend staying here!

Quiet, quaint, and traditional

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Check-in was easy and accommodating. Staff quickly volunteered to help us book cabs on two separate occasions. The room was very clean and housekeeping was efficient. The room was too warm at night however, with the windows not opening enough to allow air flow and the blankets too warm. We had drinks at the bar, enjoyed breakfast twice, and was able to order dinner once. The kitchen accommodated our dinner even though we ordered late and they were trying to close. The location was quiet and safe and the overall hotel appearance was quaint and traditionally Scottish.

Pros: Staff were very friendly. Area was quiet and felt safe. Blackout curtains were great. Bathroom was very nice, well lit and surprisingly large. Morrison’s was an easy drive away, which we found very useful. Cons: because our room slept five the beds were packed in the space pretty tight - but we were overall thankful to fit our whole family in one room. Walk to/from the car park felt a bit long when carrying suitcases in and out. Road work in the area (June 2025) had a road closed and made it a bit difficult for us to navigate to/from the hotel. We got in late evening and left early morning, so did not get a chance to explore the area much. Wish we could have spent more time. Would recommend this hotel to anyone looking to stay in Inverness.

Poor stay at Beaufort

Terrible hotel. We rented a larger room for the family and they placed us over their reception hall when they knowingly had an event going on until 11pm on our second night. The room was also quite small and bed uncomfortable. They switched us to an even smaller room that was even more uncomfortable but at least quiet. The reception staff was rude and made it sound like it was our fault since we somehow should have known that they would be blasting 80's dance music all night. We didn't pick the room, it was assigned to us, after we had clearly stated while booking that we were traveling with a child.

This was a great stay, the staff are amazing, we had 2 dogs with us, one of them a GSD puppy that is at the stage he was barking at everyone. The staff were great and won him round. Meal in the bar was excellent. Room needs updating but the hotel is in the process of doing up all the rooms. Get in early to get parked.
