So the hotel is a lot like Singapore itself. A lot of show for showiness sake. It's a nice place and there was nothing wrong, just stiff I would have planned differently.
Location: 3/5. Not really on Clarke Quay and you can't get to Chinatown without crossing some sort of bridge. If you're a public transport guy like me, getting your suitcase to/from can be a hassle.
Room condition/maintenance: 5/5
Room design: 3/5. There's a bed, a desk and a bathroom. That's really all you need, right? So why are there 11 (yes, 11) light switches? You know that's just going to cause confusion. Maybe less switches and more drawers, of which there were two, both at floor level. The bathroom was cool, otherwise the room would have rated lower. Also, mine was a courtyard view. There is no courtyard -- it's an air shaft and you're eye-to-eye with the people in the hall on the other side.
Breakfast: 5/5. One of the most complete I've ever seen and the indoor/outdoor seating is spacious and attractive.
Staff: 4/5. I had to go back twice for my key not working.
