Debora is a fantastic host. We arrived really early, having travelled from Siena at the break of dawn due to a transport strike. She couldn't have been more helpful in letting us in early and making us feel welcome.
The room was really spacious and well appointed. Great bathroom!
The property is over a pub and a cafe (really nice for coffee first thing, can't comment on the pub as didn't go). Debora provides ear plugs should you need them. We didn't, having been walking all day and therefore...

Amazing hotel and staff. This was by far the most special hotel we stayed in during our week travelling around Tuscany. The hotel is situated just outside Lucca and is beautifully maintained with lovely rooms and a truly beautiful garden with swimming pool. But what really sets this hotel apart are the owners and the staff, who can't do enough to help and are incredibly personable. The property is reaslly nice with large spacious rooms. The hotel is located in a very peaceful remote location with stunning views. The pool was really nice, but could do with some heating and it would be nice if there was a small fitness centre on-site. There was a limited lunch menu based on being so remote. Dinner was great, but a very small restaurant. The couple managing the hotel were really friendly

Beautiful property. Extremely clean. Great set up for families, we had a double room with an adjoining twin. Lovely breakfast each morning, simple but varied. Serena and Yulia were both very helpful and welcoming. Really like the little touches like the insect repellent at reception to douse yourself in before you stepped out in the evening (we got bitten a lot in Lucca Old Town) and the ear plugs in the room (The property is on a main road). Would highly recommend!

I stay in many hotels and the service from this was excellent. Girls on Reception and breakfast service could not have been more helpful. If you bring a car, bring a small one, and pay for under cover parking €15 per day. Worth it. Lucca is a lovely old. walled city, park up and follow advice of the staff as to what to do and what to see. Have an opera aria taster, organ recital, walking tour or just walk the walls and choose from any number of places for an aperitivo and then dinner.

Wonderful hotel in a quiet street in the heart of Lucca, near the amphiteatro. The rooms are beautifully decorated with frescos, comfortable and with all facilities. Breakfast is a highlight with choices to suit everyone. The staff are friendly and helpful and made us feel at home. One of the best hotels we have stayed in anywhere.

We stayed in room 9. We loved the unusual decor, cleanliness, the friendly staff, the good size of shower (not being the thinest of people), the air conditioning that worked really well, breakfast and the drinks and bits to eat in the basement dining room availability 24 hours per day. It also has a car park which was a worry if it did not have one.
The only issue we had was the place has no lift which meant we had to leave our large suitcase in the car.

My son and I stayed at this hotel for 1 night out the 3 on our visit to Tuscany as we were flying out of Pisa the following morning. The hotel has a good mix of old and new furnishings and décor. Fabulous bathrooms though a wee bit small. Just the right amount of choice at breakfast in a pleasant conservatory. Also a very spacious terrace for sitting out or relaxing on a sun lounger with a drink from the bar service at reception. Thoroughly enjoyed our short stay and would like to return in the...

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Lucca
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable time to visit Lucca is between January and March, when hotel prices are generally lower. For a budget-friendly trip, staying for at least 2 to 3 days is recommended to fully appreciate the city's notable landmarks, rich history, and cultural offerings. During your stay, you can explore historical sites, enjoy scenic walking and biking routes, visit magnificent cathedrals and churches, savour local delicacies at charming cafés, and immerse yourself in the artistic atmosphere of museums and opera performances. This timeframe provides great value for money, allowing you to enjoy all that Lucca has to offer without breaking the bank.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: On Hotels.com, you may discover attractive offers by exploring the Dealsopens in new window section, where discounted hotel stays may be available. For those seeking last-minute getaways, the Last-Minute Deals area could reveal reduced rates near your travel date. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool via the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities, helping you to spot opportunities as they arise. Enabling email alerts or push notifications ensures you’re more likely to see flash sales and special promotions, keeping you informed as availability and prices change.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay in a Lucca hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels often offer a more personalised service and may sometimes provide better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will indicate if the price for your selected dates is above or below the average, and if it appears to be on the higher side, we might suggest more affordable dates to help you find a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive, but thanks to Lucca's excellent public transport connections, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel a little further out that remains well linked. For those keen to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often great value to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
