Nishiki Market offers bizarre delicacies and perfect ceramics in equal measure. Don't miss Arashiyama's bamboo grove, where morning light filters through impossibly tall stalks creating a green cathedral effect that explains why the Japanese find spirituality in nature.
One of the best hotel experiences I have had Amazing rooms and service, great value! Honestly can't recommend this place enough. The location is also great if you are happy being close to a lot of the main attractions without being directly in the busy areas. Some great bars close by as well and only about 20 min walk from Kyoto station. The hotel is immaculately clean and you can tell the facilities are all brand new.

A truly fantastic stay here. Location is perfect and the staff are so helpful. We arrived well before check in time with lots of luggage and we were so kindly granted early access to our rooms (many hotels in Japan did not do this - even if the room was ready). Wonderful onsen, comfortable beds and plenty of lovely touches throughout the hotel. There is even a self-serve laundry option, so cleaning clothes whilst doing a long trip is less expensive. Highly recommend!

With a stay of at least 2 to 3 days, travellers can explore the city's rich history and culture, including its temples, monuments, gardens, castles, and other historical landmarks. This affordable itinerary provides an excellent opportunity for sightseeing and tours in Kyoto's diverse cultural and historical settings.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers travellers a chance to find hotel deals in Kyoto, with Dealsopens in new window available for planning ahead and Last-Minute Deals providing discounted rates closer to the departure date. Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates in Kyoto might help you find a more affordable option. For those in search of distinctive accommodation, boutique hotels often provide a more personalised experience and can sometimes offer better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is higher or lower than the average, and if it is on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could help you secure a more attractive rate.
Consider your location: Hotels near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive. However, thanks to Kyoto’s excellent public transport links, you might discover an independent hotel further afield that is still well connected and more likely to be affordable. For those wishing to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money.
