The hotel is very convenient because it’s only a short walk from the ferry terminal. If you’re arriving from Gothenburg, you basically step off the boat and you’re almost there. The design is another strong point—the lobby and the restaurant look stylish and well thought-out, and the overall atmosphere is colorful and pleasant.
The staff were very friendly and nice.
However, there are a few things to keep in mind, especially for couples. The hotel attracts a lot of families with children, and the pool area is almost always full of kids. It gets loud, busy, and a bit chaotic, which makes it hard to enjoy the pool area. There’s no adults-only section or quieter space for those who prefer a more relaxing environment, so the noise is unavoidable.
Our room was on one of the top floors, and although the slanted roof made it look charming, we couldn’t open the window. Without fresh air, the room felt stuffy, and after a while it became uncomfortable. I would have preferred a lower floor with windows that actually open.
Cleanliness was another issue. The toilet bowl had a noticeable yellow tint, the kind that comes from older stains that haven’t been fully removed and would require stronger cleaning agents.
Breakfast was supposed to be available until ten, but they started clearing everything away 20 minutes early. Since we had the last time slot, we barely had time to eat before the food disappeared. If breakfast is advertised until ten, it really should stay out until ten.
