The lobby is the nicest part of this hotel. My family and I booked a family room. Two double beds and a bunk. We arrive to a hot, stuffy room. The air conditioner was not running. We immediately put in a request as it was in the 90s outside. We tried to call the front desk but the phone would not work. They did not answer when calling from cell phone. So we had to go back down the 13 floors. Only one elevator was barely working during our stay. One night it took waiting over and hour and then finally just walking up the 13 flights and arriving in our still hot room because they did not fix the air. The air conditioner was covered in water. The front desks solution was to open the windows for air flow. Since it is on time square it was very loud. We found a used Popeyes cup in our room upon arrival. After two days of no air, 4 maintenance visits, and no real solution we left and asked for a refund. They agreed to refund the 4 unused nights and one of the two nights that we did stay. The manager stated he was doing it right away. Unfortunately it was not surprising that we are nearly a month out from our stay and are still fighting to get the entirety of what was promised. He initiated nothing but hotels.com was finally able to get us a refund for the 4 unused nights. It remains to be seen if we get the $300+ that we were promised.
