Staff very friendly and helpful. The hotel is undergoing a renovation so it was a little old fashioned. The breakfast area was good and a nice area. The bar staff were outstanding. Good place for group to gather.

Bellefontaine is such a cute, charming town it would have been nice had the hotel been more so. Check in was good, the girls at the front desk was friendly. Upon parking and unloading we entered the back of the hotel where hall lights seemed to be out or bulbs were burned out. Instantly felt depressing. The room was clean and probably recently remodeled. We had a great view of the pool that wasn't operational despite it being late May. Workout facility was tiny and sparse with equipment. Breakfast typical powdered eggs, paper bacon, waffles and biscuits and gravy (the gravy was in a pot and they used plastic to contain it- carcinogenic- yuck! Overall despite it being clean I'm glad we only stayed overnight. There has to be something better for lodging around

Load neighbors

So beginning of the evening it was going great. However come 9pm we got neighbors and the neighbors were a bit load. It sounded like they were standing at the foot of my bed talking. I tried to ignore them and go back to sleep however that didn’t happen. This went on till I finally did fall back to sleep. Then 6:15 rolled around and they were back talking again and just as loud. No I didn’t call the front desk as my husband was sleeping thru all this and I knew hearing my voice he would wake up immediately. Guess my thought was this hotel wasn’t that busy and why would they put someone beside someone else’s room if they didn’t have to. The walls are obviously not well insulated and there was a door that adjoined the two rooms that in itself I would’ve thought would’ve put them in a different room other than beside us. So overall, the experience with the hotel was amazing. It was just the neighbors that came in after 8:30 PM that they put right beside our room just thinking out loud as to why if there was more rooms available that you would put people back to back in rooms, knowing that the rooms were not soundproof.

We have stayed here in the past. Nice king size bed and whirlpool tub. Couch was ok to sit and eat. TV channels limited. They are in the middle of a remodel. Should be nice when done but worry that prices will jimp. Much nicer than the motel across the road.

Clean and cozy but updates needed

I’m super picky where I stay but in Bellefontaine the choices are limited. However the beds were extremely comfortable. The cleanliness was pretty good as well too. The floors could’ve been vacuumed a little more thoroughly however it was fine over all. I’m more concerned with cleanliness of the beds, toilets, and baths and they were definitely taken care of. The property definitely could use some interior updates. Whoever owns this can clearly see the inside needs some deep updates overall.

There were so many things that made for an uncomfortable stay at this hotel! A filthy old sock under the bathroom sink, toothpaste on the bathroom mirror, a nasty old bathtub, snot on a pillowcase, a curtain literally in shreds, sticky stains on carpet. There were obvious signs of construction and painting activities in progress (building supplies on lawn, painters tape in hallway) but no activity taking place while we were there. It’s really sad that this lovely town doesn’t have a nicer place to stay.

The drain in the bathroom drawer ned incredibly slow. I chose the hotel because it was pet friendly, only to find out I had to pay an additional $50 for my dog. Kids kept yelling in the hall in the morning, knocking on our door then running away .

Just an average no frills hotel. Accessible room isn’t really accessible. Just some rails for getting into the bathtub and not a roll/walk in shower like every other accessible room has. Bed was extremely comfortable. Bring your own hairdryer unless you want to use the one in the room while sitting on the toilet without a mirror.

Free stay?!

Room was clean. No Smoking signs everywhere. However, exterior doors were propped open and smokers standing in doorway, smoke wafting thru the stairwell. Another propped open door by the bar stated “must be closed while bar is open”. I told night clerk. Seemed to be no problem. Seems to support “ladies of the evening” and other transactions. As well as weed odor thru hallway. I would suggest better security, and prevent “unpaid guests”($$$). Morning checkout clerk seemed concerned and was reporting?
