Only if desperate
I gave the hotel a chance to rectify our stay. Front desk assured they would credit my account. I didn’t need fancy, clean and pet friendly for my chihuahua and available parking for one night. I didn’t read reviews just picked based on a combined distance of travel. Check in- front desk clerk nice-ish. I head towards room and the elevator is literally filled with garbage bags and reeks of pot. Got to room and was surprised by the filthiness. Just gross. But again needed for the evening. Checked for signs of bugs & found none & I Asked for another sheet and pillow figured I’d sleep on the sheet. Needed sleep. Just 1 light worked there were at least 3- 7in size stains. Like something was dropped and no one cleaned it. Honestly looked like dog diarrhea. Floor wasn’t vacuumed. Bits of tp and dust. Black marker scribbles on & in bathroom door and wall. Bathroom wall fill of crud and mold above sink. Toilet seat not fully attached anymore. No hand towel or wash cloths. BUT I was too exhausted to leave. Kept my socks on & still had to wash my feet. I slept on the sheet & got a contact high from the neighbors. I spoke to front desk clerk. Told him the issues. I Said the room should not have been rented. He said he was very sorry (several times) and he would not process the charge due to my discomfort. I thanked him and said I wouldn’t post the photos or a complaint. But…. No discount or credit. If you expect more than free parking and pet friendly-go elsewhere.

My Most Horrible Hotel Experience In New York
The hotel room I was checked into was very dirty with used dirty plates under the bed and lots of human hair found on the bed. I had to immediately leave the facility without staying because me and my family felt very unsafe at the hotel.

My door could be opened without a keycard, room service was non existent. The floors were very dirty and so was the furniture. The only kida good thing is its close to the airport, but its a trap.

Staff was friendly and helpful. I got rear ended and was sceptical about leaving a car with a broken window there but they helped to patch it and make sure my car was by the windows. Hotel itself was very dirty. First night it smelt like smoke, walls were dirty and the shower curtain was hanging on by a thread.

Good Location Otherwise Old Dirty & Broken
Just needed a room for myself to catch early morning flight at LGA. I’m not real picky so went cheap ($300/night after taxes etc.). 2nd floor Room didn’t appear to have even been vacuumed in a while. Thermostat on wall was non functional. Ran A/C unit in window on Hi the entire time and while it was putting out cool air, it did not cool the room. Window was open when arrived and when closed there was no way to lock it. It was 2nd floor, so someone could have come in through the window if they wanted to. TV was useless - online booking said breakfast included but that was not accurate. While the staff was pleasant, it was a very uncomfortable stay overall.

Gross hotel, stay away!
The cockroaches looked like they were very comfortable in our room. They were running around all the surfaces including the beds, walls, ceilings, shower and toilet. We walked in, looked around and promptly left.

Stay anywhere else! I thought the review rasting was out of 5 when I booked this, but it's out of 10, and the 4.8 rating is way too high! My original room had bugs crawling on and under the bed when I first walked in. I was moved to a room that was equally suspect but without the bugs. All of the furniture was pulled away from the wall, I was afraid to plug anything in because the outlets looked overloaded, the floor was peeling so I could not be barefoot, and nothing in the bathroom would drain so I showered in standing water and the sink was a pool by the time I left. The showerr curtain looked like it had been used in an episode of CSI. It's really noisy so I didn't really sleep either. Maybe this would have been bareable for under $50 - people know what they're getting for $50. But the cost for this place is borderline criminal. I don't know what NY department inspects hotel properties, but Airway Inn should not qualify as a hotel or any sort of approved sleeping quarters. Expedia should drop this listing immediately.

This room was priced at 220, most of the hotels around the airport were around 400, which is a positive of sorts. The mattress is old and makes noise, the air conditioner barely gets the room to 80 degrees, the elevator is questionable, and the shower threshold will not keep all the water off the floor. If my company had a higher hotel threshold I would not have stayed here, but now that I know, I won’t when come back in 6 months.
