Room was tiny, unclean, coffee cup soiled as were bed sheets, room was unbelievably small and balcony minute. The building was tired and dirty. Definitely think about staying here a little longer if i were you. The neighbourhood is unbelievably bad with an arcade next door and desperation everywhere. Sorry. I like leaving kind reviews but in this case its impossible

No breakfast nor bar service was available on Sunday but apparently was available on Monday 15 December 2025 but the Reception staff didn’t inform us of this. Health & Safety - the carpet on the stairwell was stained, unsightly & hazardous in places where it was rippled! Also the bedroom carpet was stained & the bath & hand towels were frayed. There was a noticeable trip step from the foyer on entrance to the restaurant area. The room which appeared on hotels.com was not a fair representation of the one in which we were allocated. Reception staff appeared polite & courteous however a car parking reservation was not available on arrival even though it was pre booked.

The hotel is located near the beach and I enjoyed seeing the sea & beach from my room, The room is big enough for a solo traveler and it has everything we need . The staff are very helpful and kind to help my concerns or enquiries through put the stay. I would recommend this hotel to others definitely.

Freezing cold, had to ask for electric heater. took two hours to find one. Breakfast from 08:00, arrived at 08:45. Two people running the place struggled to understand english. And to top it off the charge was higher than advertised on two rooms i booked. When i asked for a receipt, it was like it was promised to be emailed. when arrived £20 difference on the room cost and VAT. then had to ask for second recept and the same price difference. This is a 2 star hotel. let down by teh Hotel and the Hotels app!

Hotel looked run down, deluxe rooms would get sone under the trade description act, rooms were cold, keypad entry in to the rooms made mother feel trapped inside, booked for 2 nights and stayed one

The guy on reception was amazing he arrived us early at no extra cost. We didn't have a kettle or hairdryer in our room he got them right away.The hotel restaurant currently only serves breakfast but had a good choice at a reasonable price. Unfortunately we had many electrical problems with our room where the power kept cutting out which was quite inconvenient at times. Theres no window in the bathroom so my 4yr old was really scared when it suddenly went dark. We were told an electrician would look at it the next day at 11am but arrived at 4pm. He had moved our belongings from the bathroom and my daughters toothbrush cover had gone missing which was very bizarre as it had been attached to her toothbrush and was nowhere to be seen.When I tried to ask the electrician if he had seen it he was very rude and mainly ignored me. I asked the housekeeper who had not long arrived to clean our room and she was lovely but didn't speak very good English so didn't understand. I ended up telling the guy on reception that we couldn't find it as my daughter was upset it was missing. We went out and when arrived back he had brought her a brand new one. He also changed us rooms upgrading us to a seaview room. Theres Netflix but you have to sign in your own account to use it. Receptionist is available from 7am-11:59pm!

I arrived off season when everything was winding down. The staff were friendly and my room excellent with a great view of the sea. Breakfast was a bit slow initially but great after a bit if motivation.

The property is more like a badly run B&B than the 4* hotel it claims to be. Badly run parking - I had paid for a space, at no point in my stay did my registration plate get taken, I told them the number of the parking bay I’d parked in on check in, I was told it was not the space they had allocated me, they saw my space was being used and said I’d have to move when the car did, but it remained busy my whole stay. Two staff had an argument about which space I should use later that evening. The bedroom was supposed to be a premium sea view balcony room. It was tiny, decorated with very cheap, tacky furniture and dirty carpets. The windows were so dirty you couldn’t see clearly out of them. There was no hair dryer provided, I had to ask. Only shower gel and conditioner provided but no shampoo. I used the kettle once. The lid didn’t attach properly, the kettle didn’t switch itself off and kept boiling and when I poured it, I almost scalded my thumb from the steam coming through the badly fitting lid. The wash basin and tap were the most bizarre thing I’ve ever seen in a hotel bathroom and difficult to know if it was hot or cold. There was a very low hanging light fitting, meant for very high ceilings or stairwells, by the door to the balcony. The light shades were heavy glass and it was impossible to walk past without banging them, they were head height for a child and could cause a nasty injury if they walked into it. The only positive was the central location.

We have stayed here before and would stay again, it’s a fair price, more than just clean and tidy room (see more below), in a central location for exploring locally or getting in and out by car, and it has parking. This time we stayed in a room with a sea view balcony, which had a lovely view and was clean, tidy and comfortable but with a modern and homey feel. There was a spare radiator and fan in the room in case of weather change which was a comfort nice to have the choice in our hands. The breakfasts were excellent! My fave was the smashed avo & poached with sourdough toast, closely followed in equal second place by the yoghurt with berries and buckwheat pancakes with bacon & maple syrup! The front of house staff were unfailingly helpful but were a little stretched so not always to be immediately found but possibly this is as we stayed out of season. Two things to give as a heads-up. First, whilst it’s clearly stated in the room, in case you don’t read it immediately like us and as this approach changed since our fist stay there last year, until you ask for cleaning services /fresh towels for your room, you will not get these. Second, and we stayed at the end of Sept/early Oct, and we don’t drink anyway, but in case it’s important to you, the bar was not open during this time. However, there are several bars & cafes within a minute or two’s walk. To end on a good note, the allocated parking was very useful and, at a charge of £10 a day, quite reasonable, in my view.
