Dining in Palawan comes in a variety of shapes and sizes, mostly depending on which part of the massive Philippine province you are visiting. The big cities like Puerto Princesa have plenty of hotels and resorts that tend to offer a more international selection. It’s not that difficult to find Italian, American, Mexican, Japanese and other flavours with global appeal in these places.

If you head to the quieter places like Coron, the choice is relatively limited. Regardless of where you go, you’re always guaranteed a great choice of Filipino food, from lechon (roasted pig) to puchero (beef in banana and tomato sauce). It’s a rich cuisine that combines many international influences and is well worth enjoying while you’re here.
