My best friend and I just got home from our stay here. I reserved two separate rooms so we would both be comfortable. For the rate (about $980 for three nights + two rooms), I knew it wasn’t going to be a reservation at the Four Seasons, so I had realistic expectations in mind before arriving.
Pros: Pretty good rate if you’re traveling to
LA on a budget. Location is pretty good depending on if you’re looking to get something in proximity to downtown (our trip goal was DragCon at the convention center which also explained my reservation choice). The rooms are situated directly above a bar located next door, with a restaurant and bakery nearby, so there are a couple options that are close, or through delivery if you prefer. Freeway access is also a plus. There are about 15 covered parking spots in the small garage next to the entrance, which is free for guests (one of the signs indicating parking was for guests had “Hotel guests only” written in Sharpie so in spirit with what I was getting into, it wasn’t a big surprise). Free WiFi as well. My room had a built-in 43 inch Roku TV which was a pleasant surprise. The room lamps have outlets and USB ports. The check in process wasn’t too bad. My room also had a mini fridge.
Cons: I’m not one to complain so these are more so observations from my experience: The bedsheets were pretty thin, shower was lukewarm at best, there were some dents in the wall that looked like nobody had bothered to repair just yet. My sink drain had a bot
