We booked this hotel due to its location to Donington Circuit. The location was perfect, the circuit being about 10 minutes drive away (maximum).
The owners were lovely and very friendly, Beverley helped us find somewhere to eat on a Sunday when everywhere else was closed or had finished serving.

An absolutely lovely stay. When we arrived, we were greeted warmly by Allanah and she was kind and attentive. She showed us around, before escorting us to our room and answering our questions. Our room was beautifully decorated, warm and cosy. The bathtub was deep and sumptuous, the toiletries provided were fresh and felt lovely and the home baked cookies in the room were a nice (and tasty) touch. Fantastic stay and facilities, we thoroughly enjoyed out little hideaway. This place is a hidden gem and we definitely will be back. Only downfalls are the fact that it isn't advertised so well as this property has huge potential, gym is a little on the small side and it most definitely could do with a onsite restaurant for gain revenue for the place to maximise the income but it didnt effect our stay as we had all the facilities we needed in our lodge and planned on going out anyhow.

A weekend to visit our daughter who is at Birmingham University. The room was a little small but cosy and absolutely fulfilled our needs. We were given a top floor room as requested. We arrived at midday but were able to check in straight away. The car park was busy as there was a conference at the hotel that day but we managed to park ok. We dined in the 1900 Restaurant in the evening - the food was presented well and was delicious. Service was great and the lighting and background music...

I usually come here to get a break and relax. The rooms are spacious and relaxing. I would say the parking for VIP needs alot of work and has gone up from £15.00 to £20.00. I have a disability and have to use it due to mobility issues. But if you use the casino or shopping or food, its £3.00 or free. So it doenst make sense. Apart from the parking in VIP...

At last minute I decided to book a hotel nearby Birmingham Airport before an early morning flight out the next day. The hotel is about 1/2 hour away and is set in a quiet beautiful location, so just right for a good night sleep.
Upon arrival we were greeted by Alex who was wonderful, so professional and informative about the hotel and surrrounding area, a true ambassador for the hotel.

This budget-friendly city offers great value for money, making it an excellent choice for those seeking a culturally rich and affordable getaway.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Lichfield on Hotels.com, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you may discover discounted hotel options close to your travel date. To maximise your savings, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications for flash sales and special promotions. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app could help you compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring you find the best fit for your needs. With these features, you’re more likely to be the first to know about available rooms or price drops for an impromptu getaway.
Be flexible with dates: Prices can differ due to factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year, so having some flexibility with your travel dates may help you find a more economical stay in a Lichfield hotel. If you're in search of something distinctive, boutique hotels can provide a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book through Hotels.com, we’ll inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If the price appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer a more attractive rate.
Consider your location: Remaining close to popular attractions or the heart of the city may offer convenience, yet it usually comes at a higher cost. For those seeking more affordable options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, balancing price with ease of access to your intended destinations. You might also explore independent hotels further afield, which tend to be more likely to offer an authentic and budget-friendly experience.
