I wish I could say better things about this property. I was really excited to visit the Dominican Republic and was expecting great service, but unfortunately, the staff was super unfriendly and still demanded tips.
The property is enormous, with a golf course, gym, multiple restaurants, two pools, and a spa. Our room was nice, a little outdated, and not the cleanest, but I loved the jacuzzi on the balcony. The housekeeper changed the towels daily and refilled the fridge.
The buffet was a nightmare, but the restaurants were pretty nice. It was hard to make a reservation, but it was worth it. I appreciated the cake they brought for my mom’s birthday; it was very thoughtful!
What we liked the most was the entertainment. Every night featured a different show, and the acrobats were great.
Everything was fine until the last day when our room key stopped working. I had to go to the front desk to get the issue resolved, and they told me the housekeeper had probably messed up the lock, which didn’t make any sense at all. That same night, around 3 AM, a drunk tourist walked into our room! I have no idea how he was able to unlock our door and how irresponsible that is! I complained to the manager, who said they would investigate, but of course, they never got back to us.
I will never return to this hotel, and I hope they address their issues, as there are many other beautiful and cleaner properties nearby.
