The estate church at Scorborough, rebuilt in the 19th century by John Loghborough Pearson and paid for by James Hall of the nearby Scorborough Hall. Scorborough was the seat of the Hotham family until Sir John Hotham was captured at Beverley in 1645 on his way back to Scorborough and beheaded on Tower Hill along with his son.
