The property has a breathtaking lake view. We loved spending time around the lake. The room had no airconditioning so windows had to be left open and all kinds of bugs came inside at night. The front desk staff was partly rude. The toilet was clogged when we entered the room. The room did not meet our expectation even though we paid such a steep amount for this stay. The location of this hotel is out of this world and Gunten is a gorgeous town!

Beautiful hotel, rooms were very nice. Clean and absolutely stunning view from our window of the lake. Definitely book a lake side room. It is very convenient to get to the boat dock and bus stop a very short walk to either. The front desk staff was very nice. Breakfast was included and very many options. This is an absolutely gorgeous spot on the lake and peaceful outside with the most incredible views. We loved it.

Such a relaxing place to stay. We toured during the day, but always looked forward to getting back to the back garden each day to watch the sunset and moon rise over the mountains. This is the best hotel I have ever been! First of all, the location is perfect. Lake Thun is beautiful, and also the lake side of Gunten is better. The second one is the quality of room. Very wide so comfortable. I would like to stay one again.

Overall, this property is excellent! It’s in a beautiful location includes a nice restaurant and a wonderful spa. BUT, it does have a few shortcomings. The first is there’s no air-conditioning or screens in the windows. So if it’s warm in the room and you open the windows, you may have mosquitoes come in to keep you awake, which happened to us. The second is the spa doesn’t open until 11 AM. They have a wonderful hot tub on the lake, which we would have liked to have used in the mornings. Other than these two issues, we thoroughly enjoyed our three days at this hotel.
