I’ll never stay at another RIU property. We booked these rooms together 6 months ago. But we were placed 13 floors apart. When asked if we could move to be on the same floor, we were told it was impossible.
While visiting the 26th floor bar, I tried to order an old fashioned, which is a classic cocktail at every bar in earth, including your competitors at Gingko across the street, but your bar manager told me that it was impossible fir your staff to make it.
Even though we were guests in the hotel, we were denied access to the 27th floor on 3 different occasions over 3 days.
The wait for what would turn out to be overcrowded elevators that you couldn’t get on anyway was interminable.
The volume limit on the television was so restrictive that we couldn’t hear it above the sound of the in-room air handler.
The temperature in the rooms was too warm, and also, could not be adjusted in room, we had to open the windows to make it livable, which allowed us to hear Madrid sirens all night long.
It became abundantly clear that you cater to large groups booking seminars or corporate meetings, and 2 couples traveling together
Aren’t very important to you.
I’ve never stayed in a colder, more robotic, inhospitable hotel.
