Very welcoming staff. Room very clean and fresh but felt a little tired. Would not hesitate to recommend for a wee short break. Central so very handy for our Liverpool visit.

The property was lovely, the lady on reception was nice and welcoming when we arrived. The room was modern and easy to relax in, we just couldn't get the heating on but the lady on reception was amazing again and provided a portable heater. The beds are very comfortable and overall we had a great stay :)

Lovely stay but could do with putting the prices on the breakfast menu so that you don't get a shock when you pay.

Lovely stay

Lovely cosy hotel with brilliant staff. Only tiny thing is the website says there are mini bars and free milk in the rooms but we didnt have one. Brilliant location whilst still being quiet, with unique decor.

Beautiful little hotel

Absolutely beautiful rooms, perfect location lovely breakfast and excellent service. The only downside was work been carried out on, I assume, the building next door which started banging next to our room before 8am.

Fab weekend break

My partner and I had such a great weekend away, nice hotel friendly staff. Fluffy towels very comfortable bed, for us the only thing that mared our break away were the pigeon outside our bedroom window

What a little diamond of a hotel, very friendly staff really clean and room 303 was very spacious with everything you need. Very good breakfast selection off a menu from a full English to omelette to a bowl of granola, bar was small but quaint and ideal to have a nice drink in the evening. Public parking just round the corner that I got a discount on from the hotel and could walk to all the sightseeing attractions in Liverpool, highly recommend

6/10 Good

Fine

The location is good and the staff are friendly. The decor is nice but tired. The shower ran cold and tv didn’t work. The windows looked out onto brick walls. It’s fine for one nights stay.
Laura, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

This is an very old building with no elevator, so we have to halt our luggage through the stairs. The location of the hotel is very good, close to the shopping mall and the Royal Albert Dock.
Carl, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Great location, friendly staff. Rooms cleanliness not up to standard of price / what’s advertised / pictures. Daily room cleaning was also cursory. Lots of the furniture looked heavily used. Wasn’t a dealbreaker but given the price and advertising as bespoke/boutique, did not meet expectations.
Daniel, 3-night trip

Great Hotel, will be back

Check in was easy, room 202 is big, the small heater in the corner doesnt really warm the room, so a bit on the cold side. Windows could do with soundproofing as the sound from outside is very audible, didnt really bother us but my bother others. Bathroom is well equipped and large with underfloor heating. The full Lock & Key full breakfast is delicious and worh every penny. The hotel is situated perfectly, 2 minutes from Liverpool One shopping area, 2 minutes from the Albert docks and 15 minutes from the Empire Theatre.
Graham, 2-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

I booked a smaller room than usual, and was worried the bed wouldn’t be big enough (I’m a pretty big guy, and I was sharing with my wife). It was bigger than it looked, and we had a great sleep at the end of a great night. The bar makes an amazing Tiramisu Espresso Martini, too.
Christopher, 1-night trip

6/10 Good

Excellent location, friendly team

Fantastic location, easy access to transport, restaurants and shopping. The staff are really lovely and helpful and friendly (like everyone we met in Liverpool!) it’s a great big old house and full of character, and we booked a ‘spacious room’ which was indeed spacious and comfortable, with a huge bed (very comfy). Although on top floor (stairs, no lift), there was nothing in the way of view - just brick walls - and the decor (dark grey paint/black wallpaper with colour floral pattern and mostly black carpet) made the room feel somewhat dark. Skylight in bathroom helped. Shower fabulous. Very tired looking grout/sealant in shower area (grimy and mouldy), and generally furniture tired, chipped, a bit on the shabby side. A lot of scuffed paintwork etc. no fridge in room but reception happy to let us use theirs. We had a great stay overall, just suggest a bit of a refresh.

Very good

I would thoroughly recommend this hotel, very central. The staff were very helpful and friendly, and wanted to make my stay as comfortable as they could. There is a small but good restaurant and over all the place is very quirky. There was a good fan in my spacious room. They take a £50 deposit on credit card but hopefully that will be returned to my account as I left the room as I found it.
Dr JI, 3-night trip

10/10 Exceptional

The shower was constructed so that it would always flood the bathroom floor, the shower worked well but was too open to the bathroom
Michael, 1-night trip

8/10 Very good

The hotel's location near the main train stations, Liverpool One shopping district, and the university is convenient. The room was clean and well-maintained, featuring a small desk for working travellers. Although there was no iron or board in the room, the staff promptly provided one upon request. The bar, which also serves breakfast, offers a good selection of drinks at reasonable prices. Breakfast was a la carte and of good quality. The hotel's conversion from an older industrial building gives it character but will present accessibility challenges for some guests. Additionally, there was some noise, but it wasn't a major issue. The staff stood out for their exceptional helpfulness and friendliness.
