Preferential treatment for Black over White guests
Let's start with the fact that the hotel itself is gorgeous and has large rooms with beautiful bathrooms
The service however is horrendous , the staff are really rude , probably because there is no diversity, only Black people work here.
This is the first hotel that I have been to that does not give late check out and they are so rude , when we were checking out the lady named Shondell almost wanted to kick us out of the room at 10:30 am although the lady at front desk at check in gave us a 12 pm checkout which she did not put in the system , other hotels give you a 1 and 2 pm check out especially on a Sunday when occupancy is much lower than on a Saturday. I was denied late check out without any reasonable excuse.
The lady at front desk at our check out was not nice as well , this hotel needs diversity in staff , I feel like if you are not a certain color you don't get treated well here
As the only white guest during my visit, I felt noticeably mistreated compared to the treatment others received. The staff seemed to be very accommodating and friendly towards Black guests, while I felt overlooked and unwelcome.
I believe in treating everyone equally, and it was disheartening to feel as though my presence was not valued. This experience has left me feeling uncomfortable and will influence my decision to return in the future. I hope the management can address this issue to ensure all guests feel welcome and respected ,regardless of their background.
